Quality principle

Introduction

ZorgDomein connects healthcare professionals in a smart way. In doing so, we apply the Quality Principle. This reference document explains what the Quality Principle entails.

Information exchange

When you use ZorgDomein, you exchange information — for example, data about the healthcare professional, the patient, and the requested healthcare product in the context of a referral, a diagnostic request, or a teleconsult. The information exchange begins with transferring data from your own information system to ZorgDomein. The sender can then use and, where necessary, adjust and/or supplement this data on the relevant forms. These forms are made available — at the request of the sender — to the recipient’s information system, and a copy is offered to the sender’s own information system. This enables both sender and recipient to keep their own source system complete and up to date.

Quality guarantees

The Quality Principle means that ZorgDomein guarantees that information on ZorgDomein does not change in value or meaning. The Quality Principle consists of the following guarantees:

  1. Information can only be changed if the user explicitly makes changes in ZorgDomein and/or if the user explicitly instructs ZorgDomein to do so by activating a functionality within ZorgDomein.

  2. All information passed on by ZorgDomein to third parties (persons and/or applications) on behalf of the user is always delivered unchanged. The user has had the opportunity to review all transferred information. ZorgDomein does not remove data entered by the user.

  3. ZorgDomein has a best-effort obligation to comply with the above and to safeguard it.

Examples

Example 1: A date received by ZorgDomein as 10 May 1956 (10-05-1956) is also sent as 10 May 1956, and not, for example, as 5 October 1956 (05-10-1956).

Example 2: A healthcare provider AGB Code received by ZorgDomein is not sent as a Practice AGB Code.

In addition to the Quality Principle, ZorgDomein also applies the Availability Principle and the Delivery Principle.
